For long intern medical workers have been nursing wounds about pay; revealing on how government takes long to clear their wage.  Nonetheless the Speaker of Parliament Anita Annet Among seems to have wiped their tears after assuring about their deployment and pay. She said with the proper deployment intern doctors can help to improve healthcare services in parts where services are mirth.

“A good pay can encourage our health workers to always be available for our people. As Parliament, we will try all we could to ensure that money is always available for our health workers and hospitals,” she noted strongly.

Due to lack of funds Hon. Among reveals this can profoundly led to a limited number of senior medical practitioners that the country currently need.  With this she also urged Ministry of Finance to secure the release of money for interns.  

The Speaker also said intern doctors can help fill the gap of limited doctors thus vowing to help out on issues of good pay.  Among again noted that failure to deploy intern doctors not only leads to a shortage of qualified medical workers but also a loose out on doctors.

The reported number of medical interns countrywide is said to be at 2000.
