Today, word went round that after surgery, Uganda’s renowned star Chamili is now battling abdominal cancer commonly known as stomach cancer or gastric cancer.

On his return to the US from Jamaica where he visited with his son, Joseph Mayanja aka Jose Chameleon, 44, got rushed to a one hospital in Minnesota where he later received an emergency surgery with a bill of over Shs370 million which president Museveni paid yesterday.

However, according to a trusted source in Jamaica where Chamili also visited says Chamili used not to eat but rather depend on smoking noting ‘mbu’ he lacked appetite.

Worse still, a family member attached to Chameleon reveals that his situation started worsening way back in 2016. And that he (Chameleon) never wanted to reveal his scary situation to anyone close to him. Doctors have however alleged that his situation could result into abdominal (stomach) cancer arguing that if the surgery stays normal all could be hindered.

Doctors at Ggwatiro hospital who preferred anonymity say this type of cancer comes from too much smoking and it shows no early symptoms. The illness later develops symptoms of nausea, stomach pain after eating, and stomach full after eating small amounts of food.
