Italy, Slovenia buy multi-billion Dollar missiles as World War 3 looms

Slovenian Defense Minister Marjan Sarec has announced that his country is in fresh talks with Germany to purchase an undisclosed number of IRIS-T SLM surface-to-air missile systems. This has come shortly after Ukraine declared confirmed steps closer to joining NATO. According to most European countries it is stated that when this is sealed then the World will be heading to World war ||| (3).

Sarec told media earlier this week thus;

“At the moment, we do not have a very efficient air defense system, some in Slovenia say that we are collectively protected by NATO, but it takes some time for allied aircraft to reach Slovenia, and air defense with such a system is something different from aircraft.”

According to a file report, the IRIS-T system is arguably Germany’s most advanced surface-to-air weapon. The system offers effective protection against threats originating from rocket and drone attacks. It has a range of up to 40 kilometers (25 miles).

Meanwhile, the Italian military procurement authorities are also quickly advancing in their negotiations with the German’s renowned Krauss-Maffei Wegmann the one behind the mighty Leopard 2A8 and 2A7 battle tanks.

2A8 is the latest version available and the one the manufacturer is now preparing for this looming war that is believed to start in Europe.

None the less, other European countries like the Czech Republic and Norway have also shown their interest in the latest version of the Leopard 2A8.

Also, Marjan Sarec met with the Canadian National Defense minister Anita Anand a couple of days ago and discussed matters of national importance and their alliance with NATO and the war between Ukraine and Russia where she stressed a point that Canada will continuously carry on her support to Ukraine;

“Canada will always be a reliable, stable and dedicated partner with our NATO allies,” she noted yesterday.

And on their visit to Latvia and Lithuania this week, she said the visit was to strengthen the NATO alliance with continuous support to Ukraine;

“We visited Latvia and Lithuania to strengthen the NATO alliance and to further our way to supporting Ukraine,” Hon. Anita noted.
