After government of Uganda establishing Government Analytical Laboratory (GAL) at Wandegeya, purposely to handle issues of members of parliament and ministers like DNA tests; it has been reported that big wings in cabinet and several members of Parliament have profoundly flocked this place with their kids only to carry out DNA tests.

It is noted that these MPs and ministers have secretly visited GAL only to establish whether the kids they look after as theirs surely are!
An impeccable source at GAL reveals that the MPs that visited the testing area (GAL) had married more than 2 wives that reside in city areas of Ntinda, Namugongo and Kiwatule. These honorable Ministers and MPs say that the action behind this is to verify their own and to see that no woman logs any child that is not their bloodline.
Our source again confirms that each Member of Parliament and ministers paid an approximant amount of UGX370, 000 before any test was done. An expert with GAL also notes that two samples are taken with one sample being sent to South Africa and the other stays with the government laboratory (GAL).
When GAL confirmed all the reports, it produced files that indicated that 256 MPs and 4 Ministers had been raising kids that are not theirs. One of the wives to the Ministers who preferred anonymity notes that she is not contented with the DNA results and that the cabinet minister (name not disclosed) should revise and reconsider her as she has never slept with any other man except him thus having not fathered any child outside their marriage.
Hon. Luttamaguzi Semakula, a Member of Parliament for Nakaseke South, says he is fine with the DNA testing and the MPs with ministers doing it, adding they are also human beings that need to protect their own. He says in an interview today thus;
“Nze sikilabamu buzibu (I see no issues with it). At the end of the day we’re all human beings besides being honorable, so am positive with it and I also urge other MPs and Ministers to do DNA testing. Its healthy, it’s normal and good. It is a national call; other men should also do it.”
When asked whether he also visited GAL or planning out he said soundly that he’s fine with all his kids and that both share resemblances.
Also the former MP of Mukono South Johnson Muyanja Ssenyonga backs it saying it is a positive thing to be done since it carries no status;
“I recommend men to do it, am positive with,” he noted.

Note; only two laboratories (GAL and MBN Clinical Laboratory on Nakasero Road) have been certified to do DNA paternity testing in Uganda according to Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng (Ministry of Health).
