Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu famously known as Bobi Wine (NUP President) has today revealed how the late Hon. Lovinsa Joyce Mpanga has died uncorrupted.

While attending the burial of Mama Mpanga, Kyagulanyi has noted and I quoted that Mpanga had never taken any bribe in her entire career, life even when she had the powers. She stayed loyal, contented and passionately true to her Country and culture.

Bobi Wine added that Mama Mpanga also loved her religion a thing that had kept her faith strong till the day she breathed her last. In his last remarks Bobi again noted that Mpanga’s children will always walk with their heads high because their mother had left a good legacy and never been corrupt at any point;

“She has died a true legend. ‘Afudde taliko yadde akanttu akekuusa ku nguzi’ (she has died without any attachments to corruption and its escorts). ‘Nga talinga nga baano ababba amabati’ loosely meaning, at least never like these current ones who even steal iron sheets, we will always be proud of her,” Bobi revealed.

She served as the first minister of Gender and also a Minister of State for Primary Education. She also served in the Buganda Lukiiko till the day she had rested. She has been offered an official burial from the State.

Joyce Mpanga will be laid to rest today November, 23, 2023 at her ancestral home in Maya on Masaka road.
